VISTA, California – A San Diego child that was left paralyzed following a drunk driving accident has been given a new home with the help of a non-profit organization.

Passion 4 Kids helped raise $100,000 for the down payment on a five-bedroom home in Vista that was presented to the victim’s family on Wednesday.

Izaiah Wallis, now three years old, was being pushed in a stroller by his grandfather when an intoxicated, unlicensed 17-year-old hit them in 2010.

The young child was paralyzed from the chest down and required a ventilator. Izaiah’s father had to quit his job in order to provide full time care for his son.

The family is grateful for the $258,000 home, which was made possible by donations from caring individuals to the non-profit.
